Mooshrooms and villages revealed in MCPE 0.9.0

Every once and a while, the leader of Minecraft/Minecraft PE development Jens posts a screenshot of Minecraft on his Instagram profile. Today he posted two screenshots of Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.9.0, one with a mooshroom and one with a village. The mooshroom screenshot doesn't show much else other than a mooshroom, but a baby one can be seen in the background.

jpegHere is the village screenshot on the right (click to make it bigger), also from Jeb's Instagram. The village generation appears to be rather un-refined, as buildings become deformed near the right side of the picture. Also in the screenshot are a few villagers and a mooshroom egg in the inventory slot.

Overall, not much else is in these screenshots other than..well..what the screenshots focus on. The release date for MCPE 0.9.0 is still sometime in May, and hopefully it won't be pushed back a third time. You can see the original picture below, while I sit here and wonder why he thought filters would be a good choice.

  5. Mooshrooms. I don't care how pointless they are, it is still awesome that they are adding them.

One of the devs (I believe it was Johan) said 0.9.0 is most likely coming in June now :/
