700,00 Minecraft Pocket Edition for Android copies sold

Daniel Kaplan, a developer over at Mojang, has released some sales figures about Minecraft Pocket Edition, also known as Minecraft PE. He said on Twitter, "We have sold over 700 000 copies [on the Android Market]. That is quite impressive, since the game was launched almost two months ago."

He went on to say that the game is being sold around 5,000 times every day on the Android Market. Figures for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad were unavailable. He also said, "Aron is the one who has done all the heavy lifting. I just poke on him from time to time to make sure he is still alive." That's Mojang for you. :)
