Something seems to have gone unnoticed in the latest Minecraft Snapshot that caused Mojang to issue a statement apologizing. In the latest Minecraft Snapshot at the time of writing, 12w04a, a community translation prank has caused some publicity. If the Afrikaans is selected in the new language selection feature, the single player option at the main screen will display, "You are a NIGGER," seen in the picture above. Obviously this is the side effect of Mojang accepting community translations for Minecraft. Mojang issued a public statement apologizing for this mistake, and confirmed it will be removed in the next snapshot, 12w05a. Read more about this racist statement in the source link below.
