That mysterious mob featured in yesterday's screenshot might be revealed today. Jens Bergensten, the lead developer for Minecraft, said on Twitter, "Quick notice, a bunch of new text strings have been added to the translation project for today's snapshot." Since the Snapshots usually add all new features worked on during the week, we can assume that the mysterious jungle animal (monkey, lion, whatever) will also make an appearance. Of course there have been variations from this rule, and we can only hope that that strange thing will be in there.
