Based on Valve's popular Portal and Portal 2 video games, comes the Portal Gun Mod. Actually, the mod has been available for a while but it was just updated for Minecraft 1.1 compatibility. You read that right, you can now think with portals in Mojang's latest Minecraft update.
The mod, in addition to adding Portal guns to the game, also adds Co-Op guns for multiplayer, a bacon gun (still figuring that one out), pedestals, Portal Spawners, Advanced Knee Replacements, Weighted Storage Cubes, your very own companion cube, several new music discs, radios, Material Emancipation Grids, High Energy Pellet, Electronic Intelligence Indicators, Sentry Turrets, Defective Sentry Turrets, Aerial Faith Plates, and finally Checkpoint blocks. *whew*
The Portal Gun Mod is quite needy as mods go, requiring Minecraft 1.1, ModLoader, AudioMod, and ModLoaderMP (regardless if you plan to use it for Multiplayer). Despite all the confusion, it explains everything in detail, so if you have installed any mods before it will be a piece of cake (Portal reference intended). You can find the download link and instructions at the source link below, and if you find fluid running down your ear, it's probably a rare problem with the Material Emancipation Grid emancipating your ear canal. Just lie back, and apply immediate pressure to your temples. Now you're thinking with portals.
