Minecraft Snapshot 12w05a released

This week's snapshot doesn't have any new mobs, but it does include some nifty additions. First, many bug fixes relating to mobs, probably mobs with the new AI. Ocelots, the mob added in last week's snapshot, are now easier to tame and can sit. Villagers will now stay in their houses and not roam the land around them like pigs. The language files were also updated with, "with 50% less profanities," referring to the racist comment found in last week's snapshot. Lastly, a host of bugfixes have been added to this release, as always. You can download the jar files below.

Update: Jens released snapshot 12w05b to address a critical bug. Read more here.

  1. Jeb just took 12w05a down and released 12w05b and uploaded it into the same URL. The differences are, they fixed a bug where cats would somehow crash the game and they also updated language files. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp7QEYVCG0w This is the only video of the original 12w05a.

  2. The cat bug in 12w05a (that was fixed for 12w05b) was that if you right-clicked a sitting cat empty-handed, Minecraft crashed.
