Good news for teachers and students alike! An update for MinecraftEdu has reached the internet. The biggest change is that Minecraft has been updated to 1.2.5, which is great because MinecraftEdu usually lags behind version-wise. Other new features include an updated WorldEdit plugin, eight new bundled skins, the ability to change texture packs on the server, GUI changes, performance improvements, and many bug fixes. If you have purchased MinecraftEdu, the update should be rolling out to you very soon. For interested schools, prices begin at $41, and, unfortunately, the edition for individuals is not available yet.
