Minecraft Pocket Edition updated, adds furnaces and more tools

Minecraft on-the-go fans are jumping for joy, because a new version of Minecraft Pocket Edition is out! New in this version are the long awaited furnace feature, allowing you to smelt those items you mined several weeks ago.

Also new in this version are saplings, which will grow trees (finally)! Better tools instead of stone can be crafted, but armor has not arrived yet. More slabs are here, and glass panes.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Minecraft release without bugs. Iron Blocks only need 6 iron to be crafted, but will get you 9 iron after it's made (can you say iron duplication?). Saplings arn't available in creative mode, and you can't see them in your item bar. Yellow coloring is shown as an egg in crafting and the hotbar, swords don't use durability when fighting mobs, and you only need four wooden blocks to make a door. The game is available for iPhone and Android now at their respective stores.

  2. Thanks! It sounds really cheesy, but when you spend a lot of time on something and do a lot of work, it pays off. :)
