Minecraft Snapshot 12w30b released, Creepers more powerful

Crafting Table

It's been two weeks since the last snapshot, and Jens has been on vacation. Well now the team is back with a punch, with this week's Minecraft snapshot released! This week lots of bug fixes and minor features have been baked into the game. Creepers now have exploding power based on the selected difficulty, with Easy being 50% less, Normal making Creepers as powerful as in 1.2.5, and Creepers in Hard/Harcore are 33.3% more powerful. The new 'Snooper' settings have been added to Minecraft, giving you the option of being login tracked by Mojang to help them improve the snapshots. Performance improvements are also in tow, with accelerated chunk loading, decreased lag spikes, Nether is less laggy, improvements to chat, decreased world updates, and decreased lag. Will you test out this snapshot? See the source link for how to get it:

  2. Are you sure? Minecraft Wiki says the article is right: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history/Development_versions#Minecraft_1.3_Snapshots

  3. I don't get why they released another snapshot. The Pre-Release is coming out in two days! Couldn't they have just put these updates in the Pre-Release? I'm not complaining, it's just, why release two snapshots two days apart from each other?

  4. Probably because they get a lot of bug reports from players. They have thousands of people telling Mojang glitches in the game that they can address and fix, before the Prerelease.

  5. Yeah. That's true. I would have just given in to all the impatient people saying: "I Can't Wait Two Days! Agh!"
