Instead of reporting on today's snapshot, I just wanted to show you the biggest change. You can now rotate wood when placing it. This is much like placing slabs in various positions based on where you are standing. It's unknown whether or not this will stay for Minecraft 1.3, but do you want it to?
I Am SO happy they are doing this! This will add so much more design options to the game. For instance: Being able to make like a sawmill, then placing these sideways logs as the log piles, or making log cabins more realistic. I am super excited for this. The funny thing is though, just two days ago I was watching Duncan (From the Yogscast) on YouTube build a sawmill, and then he mentioned this exact concept. Maybe Mojang does poke through YouTube videos for ideas!

ReplyDeletehmm last time i saw this was in a mod showcase.... the vanilla with sprinkles mod (yes u heard rite) i think it would be pretty cool, you could have very detailed floor designs
