Minecraft 1.3 is released, Mojang fans everywhere rejoice

Mca 2

You have waited. You have watched the snapshots come out. You saw the Prerelease. Well now the time has come, and Minecraft 1.3 is available for download. More than three months after Minecraft 1.2.5, the latest version is finally out. This new update includes more generated structures, LAN multiplayer, trading with villagers, more redstone stuff, and Jesus Christ Himself coming out of the sky and welcoming you to the new update. In all seriousness, we posted every single new feature in this post. Since you have probably heard enough of what's new, go get it! You can update by opening Minecraft and clicking Update when asked. Be warned, you won't be able to get on many servers until they update Bukkit, so you might want to wait a bit as well.

  1. May I point out that 1.3 was never released publicly, due to a few major errors. The official, "live" version is now 1.3.1. :3

  2. True, but if I put 1.3.1 in the title, people would have said 'Where's 1.3??? Did I miss it??' :p

  4. Can I also suggest, perhaps it would be cool not only to share some of the bigger things in Minecraft, but to review some of the Powered by Redstone community's creations! We could maybe send the creations to your e-mail, and like once every so often, you review one you find cool!

  5. We get those kind of things from time to time, unfortunately I don't have enough time now to write them. Might change eventually, but right now I don't have much time to myself as of late :/
