RedstoneModder officially discontinued, reader picks it up

A few weeks back we announced that the RedstoneModder utility, our official program for adding mods to Minecraft, would be discontinued. Well a reader named 'BubbaZero' on this site decided to pick it up, and has created RedstoneModder 2.0. According to the change log he sent me, new features include a new .exe format, the ability to install ModLoader, new screen layouts, a command line version that people can edit, and more. It's much better than I did on the project, and I'm glad to see that someone picked it up. Any new updates will be a new post on this site, but the page on this site about it will go away later today. You can get the new version, hosted by us, at the link below.

Update: BubbaZero found a critical bug in RedstoneModder 2.0, and he's updated it to fix the glitch. We have also updated the link below with the fixed version (v2.01).

Update #2: I was told that the download link was broken. I have re-hosted it at Dropbox until I can fix it, and the updated link is below.

  1. ------------NOTE--------------
RedstoneModder had a fatal bug when I converted it into a .exe
I have updated it to RedstoneModder 2.01, this one uses a .cmd file. It will stay like this until I find a way to get the .exe to work.

  2. I can't tell you how many times, as a web developer, I have released something and minutes later find a bug. I've updated the mirror on our site though :)

  7. It lets you install mods into Minecraft without opening the .jar file (it does it for you).

  9. Haha, you can use it and report any bugs to the email on the contact page. From there I can email them to BubbaZero and he can work on it :)
