Minecraft 1.4 Pre-release now available, adds bug fixes and new sounds

October 24th is quickly approaching, which means the next major Minecraft release is almost among us. Mojang today released the Minecraft 1.4 Pre-release, which means that no new features will be added from now until 1.4 (only bug fixes). The Pre-release adds nothing from Wednesday's snapshot, other than bug fixes and new sounds for the Wither boss, bats, and anvils. The biggest new sound is for the Ender Dragon, which until now has been completely quiet. Minecraft 1.4 is almost here, and you can get the Prerelease at the source link below.
