Minecraft is the Kindle's top game, clones gonna clone

A few weeks ago Mojang published Minecraft Pocket Edition to the Amazon app store, and the response has been overwhelming. As you may or may not know, the Amazon App Store is the only place where Kindle Fire owners can get applications (unless you root it, which is a bit complicated), so the release on the Amazon App Store finally allowed Kindles to play Minecraft. The game has an average of four to five stars on Amazon, and has held it's place as the top paid app in the entire Amazon App Store since it's release.

However, Minecraft clones that were once the only option for Kindle owners are still remaining. Most of them are blatant rip-offs with no original features such as WorldCraft and MonsterCraft, but some better ones like Block Story are also present. My favorite rip-off (that is, the worst) is 'Mooncraft' because there are no screenshots of the game, simply a creeper head photoshopped onto a screenshot from an equally bad game on the Apple App Store. You can find the actual Minecraft PE game for your Kindle or Android device at the link below.

  6. I doubt it. Microsoft was given a crap load of money to make Minecraft an Xbox only game. Same reason we don't have a PlayStation version.
