Events

  • Minecraft Pi Edition - Mojang is producing a version of Minecraft Pocket Edition for the $25 Raspberry Pi computer that will be free to download when it's complete.

Panel Questions

  • No more bosses - Jeb confirmed in an interview that the addition of new mob bosses is "far fetched."

  • Enchanting paper - In an interview the Mojang team, the possibility of enchanting pieces of paper (with a cauldron) was discussed and may happen in the future.

  • New Minecraft client - A performance improved version of the Minecraft client may come in the future.

  • Pigs carrying items - In the future, Mojang may add 'bags' to pigs to carry items. This extends on the carrot control system that pigs have in 1.4.

  • Saddles won't be craftable - In a panel, the Minecraft team confirmed that saddles will likely stay as an item only found in dungeons.

  • No Wireless Redstone - This speaks for itself. Jeb said wireless redstone likely won't happen in any updates.

  • In-game purchases - In game items that cost real money likely won't be added, unless the financial situation of Minecraft becomes desperate.
