Minecraft Pi Edition now available to download, Minecraft on a $25 PC

cropped-Pi-Edition-header1At Minecon 2012, Mojang announced a version of Minecraft would be available for the $25 Raspberry Pi computer by the end of 2012. Unfortunately that didn't happen, but better late than never right? Minecraft Pi Edition is a port of Minecraft Pocket Edition, and has many of the same blocks and abilities. The game is a free download for everyone with a Raspberry Pi. It is recommended that you use the Raspbian OS for the Pi, but any Linux distro will most likely work. We will be posting a video soon of gameplay so you know what to expect when you decide to download it.     To be fair the $25 raspberry pi just got released so it's not like minecraft is late
