Minecraft for Xbox has always been behind adding features from Minecraft for the PC, but it's taking a major step towards PC Minecraft. Today Hat Films, the YouTube channel responsible for nearly all Mojang's Minecraft release trailers) uploaded the official trailer for the next version of Minecraft: Xbox Edition. The new version is officially named 'Update 9', but judging from the video it seems the update is comparable to Minecraft 1.0 or 1.1 on the PC. We are not entirely sure, because it also shows Item Frames, which did not come until Minecraft PC 1.4.
There is no changelog from 4J Studios (the company developing the Minecraft port) or from Mojang, so we have no idea what will be in the update besides what is featured in the video. In the event you cannot view the video, the End dimension, Ender Pearls, Eyes of Ender, Endermen, and Item Frames were featured. Stay tuned for any more changes if they come.

ReplyDeleteProbably never, the limited RAM of the Xbox 360 (only 512 MB, half of the PC's requirements) limits that.
