N0VA modpack 1.2 released, updates TMI and adds MAtmos

Untitled (1)Exactly one month after the last update, we proudly announce the second major update to our official Technic Launcher modpack for Minecraft, N0VA. Let's start with the bad news. OptiFine is a pain in teh hinney for us to keep in N0VA, since it breaks every time we attempt to update a mod. Unfortunately we are dropping OptiFine in N0VA for now, but we may add it again at a later date.

Now for the good news! Updates for CodeChicken Core and NotEnoughItems are included in N0VA 1.2, which "Fix scrolling crash with recipes, Added F9 chunk boundary viewer, Added ability to show Mob Spawns with F7.." and a few other fixes. Hopefully those of you suffering from crashes will cease to have problems. In this update we are also adding the mod MAtmos, which some of you may recall from the Tekkit modpack. The mod adds sounds and background sounds to Minecraft, making the game much more natural instead of silent. Finally we updated the MinecraftForge mod to the latest version, fixing some bugs. If you don't already have N0VA, you can get it by following the instructions on our N0VA page.

UPDATE: We've patched N0VA to work on the newest Technic Launcher, see this article for details.

Are all these mods passive? If they are, then it might be noted that you can get on vanilla MC servers using it! =D

  5. Yes, you can log onto Vanilla servers with N0VA. Be warned that a few servers block InvTweak from working, but most don't.
