Powered by Redstone on Google Currents discontinued

unnamedFor those of you unaware, Google Currents is an application for Android and iPhone that allows you to subscribe to a number of websites and blogs. Using the app, you can read your subscriptions in a clean mobile format. Powered by Redstone has had it's own Google Currents subscription since January of 2012. But now it's time to say goodbye to Google Currents.

Starting today, we are discontinuing Powered by Redstone on the Google Currents platform. The reason for this is simple - no one uses it. Literally. Not a single living person has opened our Currents issue since February. We didn't advertise it much, but even when we did it only achieved about 20 subscriptions at it's highest point. I don't think anyone will miss it, and with all of the recent changes that required CSS rewrites, I sure won't.

Current subscribers will see the issue removed from their subscription list today. This is one of the changes we are implementing to create a more unified Powered by Redstone experience, and there are more to come.
