4J Studios confirmed to be working on PlayStation Minecraft port

Minecraft-Xbox-360-Edition-Wallpaper_5414299_lrg4J Studios, if you are unaware, is the company responsible for creating Minecraft for the Xbox 360 console. They branched off from vanilla Minecraft somewhere around Beta 1.6, and began porting it to the console (that's why the game didn't have many features at first). It has been confirmed that 4J Studios will also be reponsible for porting the game to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.

Scottish Games reported, "this time by @4JStudios revealing that they’ll be taking the game to all of the above platforms, as well as the forthcoming Microsoft Xbox One"

Honestly I'm excited that 4J will be handling all the PlayStation ports (as well as the Xbox One port) because they have done a stunning job bringing Minecraft to the Xbox 360. Let us know what you think in the comments!

  3. I would really hope they did it for the Wii U. I don't own one, but it's a better reason to.
