Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.7.4 released for Android and iOS, we have everything you need to know

After coming out on the Kindle App Store several days early, Mojang confirmed it was just Amazon approving the app a little earlier than normal (OK, maybe a lot) and the update would arrive shortly for other platforms. Today marked the release of Minecraft Pocket Edition on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. If you have not received the update yet, don't worry, it should come to you later today.

The biggest change is the ability to connect to servers outside of Minecraft Realms. If you are looking for some great servers, MCPEStats has a list of hundreds of servers (including most severs that were previously available through PocketMine Realms). There's a good chance you can find many high-quality servers on there; I've found a few I enjoy playing on myself.

So what are you waiting for? Go download 0.7.4 and try out some servers!

  3. I'm quite surprised there hasn't been a post on Captain Sparklez "Take Back the Night", especially due to the fact that you announced and showed a picture of before it was released.. Is that coming?
