Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.8.1 submitted to Apple, available on Android now

Have you been having problems with multiplayer in Minecraft 0.8.0? You're not alone, many players (including us in our tests) have been having problems. Mojang has acknowledged the problem and has released an update to fix it. Minecraft PE 0.8.1 adds no new features, but does add many helpful bug fixes related to multiplayer and Pocket Realms. The release also fixes issues with keyboard input on Android, which frequently causes nothing to be shown while typing in-game.

The update has been submitted to Apple for review and will be available in a few days. The update is already available on the Google Play Store, but has yet to show up on Amazon's App Store. You can see the original tweet from a Minecraft PE developer in the source.

    But there was a bug in multiplayer when your not the host and leave then join and you have 200 blocks of what was in your hand

    There's a bug where if you have a similar block in your hand to the one in the front space in the hotbar then when u use that u use whatever is in the first space instead

    Theres this super annoying bug i have that if you build a railway above the ground, when you ride and it stops on a block that has no rail and when you try to get out, you fall through the minecart >:(

    Yesterday my Minecraft PE on my kindle fire updated to 0.8.1 and at first I did not notice that I got the update (because I have it so my apps auto-update) ,but then I noticed that it updated because I saw the 0.8.1 in the bottom left on my screen. Where just that much closer to 0.9.0 :)

    Say I have a stack of dirt, if I place it in the chest, afterwards the icon of dirt is still in the slot and takes up a space in my inventory. Very annoying...

    you should get a different skin tone so we can look like we want to in the pc version like herobrine and the other skins and get an update for a christmas mod on 0.8.1

    Check the 'Future Updates' box on the right side of the page (or below the article if you are on mobile) for the release dates of all future MC versions :)
