Another Thursday, another Minecraft snapshot. This week's snapshot isn't quite the giant that last week's was, but it does have it's fair share of improvements. The biggest change is a rewrite of how skins are handled, which now changes the 'hat' layer that covers the head to span the entire body (meaning that you can apply the same effects to your body that you could with skin heads). Skin files are now 64x64, but they are fully compatible with the current skins. There is now a skins option in the main options menu that allows you to toggle the overlays.
Other changes include the tp command that now supports changing the player's rotation, changes to the block ID system, generated desert temples (which is coming in Minecraft Xbox/PS3 TU14!) now use stained clay instead of wool, villagers struck by lighting turn into witches, and several bug fixes.
