Microsoft purchase still in question, community firmly against it

To say that the Minecraft community is scared about Mojang being purchased by Microsoft is an understatment. Despite it still being nothing more than a rumor with no proof, it's definately stirring up Minecraft players. Take a look at Twitter, for instance:

Since the rumor was leaked, it's still nothing more than a rumor - there hasn't been any new information about the purchase leaked. However, no employees of Mojang have publicly said anything about the purchase, which seems like it could be real. They have ignored all questions about the purchase, and they haven't denied or confirmed it.

It remains to be seen exactly what Microsoft would do with Mojang if they purchased the company, and we wrote possible predictions in another post. They could do anything from block all modding to simply wanting them as a Microsoft-owned company and do nothing. However, if the purchase was going to be announced, it's likely we will see something about it on Monday. The wait goes on.

  2. Sorry if this is like nitpicking, it says "definately" (it's definately stirring up Minecraft players.) Isn't it "definitely"?

  3. Microsoft said that they were acquiring Mojang just to they could port the game to Windows Phone, to possible increase the sales of their phones.

What a waste of 2.5 billion...
