Sony PlayStation TV arrives in US & Canada, yet another console to play Minecraft on

Today Sony has released a new game console called the PlayStation TV in the United States and Canada. You've probably heard about this before - it came out in Japan last year. But what's so special about it?

Sony already has a game console for your TV - the PlayStation. However, the PlayStation TV is meant more as a media hub than a games console. It's only $99, and can stream movies and other content from providers like Netflix and YouTube (in the future, for some reason it's not there yet).

In addition to a media center, it can also play games designed for the PlayStation Vita portable console. Which means - you guessed it - Minecraft. It may be just a coincidence, but Minecraft for the PS Vita is also coming out today ;)

The Amazon Fire TV, which is also $99, also has Minecraft. The difference is that the Fire TV runs Pocket Edition, wheras this runs the Vita Edition with everything the console editions have. Let us know in the comments which one you would choose (PlayStation TV or Fire TV). See the source link below for more information about the PlayStation TV.
