Minecraft 1.8.1 now available for download, lots of bug fixes

Mojang has been relatively quiet recently, mostly with the development of Minecraft PE 0.10.0. But today Nathan Adams and a few others in the Mojang team announced 1.8.1, which contains a few small changes and bug fixes.

This release fixes 116 issues, according to the Minecraft bug tracker. Notable bugs that were fixed include air blocks floating in water, brewing stands not dropping potions, issues with world chunks and spawn errors, and many more. It also includes a few minor changes, like dropped items roate on fast graphics and jack 'o lanterns can now be used to create iron/snow golems.

So by no means a big update, but certainly a welcome one. You can get it through the Minecraft launcher if you have the Minecraft version in your profile set to latest or 1.8.1.
