Modifications in terms of in-game creations and script additions are two things which have evolved Minecraft PE into a very popular app. The fact that anyone can do it and share it with others is what combine loads of people in the world and make a wonderful community.
As a result of massive access to the tools to create either a mod or a map and then release it there have been thousands of such which means it can be hard to navigate to some of the best ones.
That's why I decided to reach out to MCPEDL.com which is a popular resource for downloadable content. I asked if they could share with me the three most downloaded mods and maps, and so they did!
Too Much TNT adds more than 18 new blocks to the game and with each block comes an unique explosion aftermath. Most of the blocks creates extra huge explosion sites but many actually adds new and more fun results of explosions to the category of TNT blocks.
For example, when triggering an OceanTNT block it spawns a huge ocean where the block was located. And with the Flat Bomb it's never been easier to clear out hilly landscapes to make space for your new house.
The mod offers a large variety of new blocks to the game which makes explosions in Minecraft PE at least 18 times funnier than before.

If there has ever been one feature request in Minecraft that's been up on the table by a lot of people it must be vehicles. Sure, we've been fortune enough to have the minecart and rails for easier transport but it isn't exactly a very free or easy way of traveling.
A couple of months ago TDS200, a mod developer, introduced his first mod series in Minecraft called the Mech series. I think Mech Planes was the second mod in the series after the Bulldozer mod and Mech Planes literally caught on fire in terms of popularity.
Once the airplane is crafted you can spawn it by using the Planes item and fly freely in the world of Minecraft. It is easy to maneuver but isn't very realistic at its current state because it can basically stop in the air which isn't really consistent with the laws of nature.
It's the perfect mod if you want to get around easier, especially now when we have infinitive worlds and where traveling quickly have become a pain for many.

Mining is fun because of the unknown and the risks involved. You never know what might be hiding behind the next block. Either you will stumble upon a gang of creepers who want nothing other than blow you up in pieces or maybe you will find large shining chunks of diamond ores just waiting to be mined - it's surely a thrilling experience.
With the Lucky Gold Blocks mod you can increase the fun by many times. The new type of block is randomly spawned on many different locations in the world. Once you mine the block it will generate a random surprise for you.
The different surprises are many. Loads of valuable items can be spawned infront of your eyes. A groaning zombie can appear. And even structures can be created on the spot where you are standing creating sometimes a scary situation.
It is truly a unique mod and by just adding one block to the game it allows for a whole new lot of experiences.

A subway system, an airport and a train transportation system are just three out of more than twenty different features NewBloxten City got to offer. What's more impressive is that the map is currently set in an old world which is not infinitive. So within an area of 256x256 blocks you've got an advanced and flawless beautiful city.
There are countless of cities made for Minecraft PE but the main reason why this map has caught extra attention in people's eyes is because it is extremely well planned and does at no point become too extreme. We've got the central city with medium sized skyscrapers and then to tone that down a bit we've got another part of the city with normal sized villas. The sizes never feel incredibly different and that's an important part I believe.
The architecture in the map is very blocky. What I mean by that is that most of the houses, sky scrapers and other structures got a rectangular feel to them. That and the fact everything in Minecraft is made out of blocks maybe gives the structures in NewBloxten City an extra nice and consistent look.
The only downside I can think of is the size of the map. As it was created in an older version of Minecraft PE with smaller worlds it is not really the creator's fault. But an upgrade to suit the infinitive size today surely would be welcome.

The idea is very simple. You start out on a platform located high up in the clouds. On the platform there is a small hole in the floor which you jump down through and then the next goal is to survive the jump. Following through the jump is a series of hinders you need to pass by and this is done by pressing the d-pad buttons which slowly let you push yourself in the direction you decide.
Throughout the map there are several different levels all with a mind-boggling and confusing touch. Such as, some levels consists of Minecraft worlds which appears to be upside down.
The first time I played The Dropper I was hooked. Just the new and refreshing idea of jumping through challenges and faced with confusing scenarious where the world appears in a very different format was enough for me and apparently lots of others such as TheDiamondMinecart YouTuber who made a video of the map.

Watching an Indiana Jones movie must be the perfect source of inspiration before building an adventure map. At least that appears to have been the case with this map as it got many similarities to the movies such as the fact the character you play as is named Indiana Craftes.
Puzzles and parkour are the two main happenings of the map. Lava just waiting to swallow your human flesh as you try to jump from one block to another to get one step closer to The Orb of Creativity. Because apparently that's the item which you are set out on a quest to get.
It is a map filled with surprises and challenges and the fact it is very well built and adds that mystique Indiana Jones feeling surely helps in making this map more exciting.
