Introducing Pushbullet integration with Powered by Redstone!

Many of you have asked us to make a mobile app, and it's probably going to be a while (if ever) until that happens. After all, the site looks amazing on mobile anyways! But here's something that mobile users (and desktop users too) can take advantage of: today we are announcing integration with the app Pushbullet!

Pushbullet is a free app that's been around for a little while, and it's main functionality is the ability to 'forward' notifications from your phone to your computer. For example if I get a text on my phone, Pushbullet will send the text as an alert to my computer, and I can even respond back. But Pushbullet has another function - you can subscribe to channels.

Channels are subscriptions you can add to your Pushbullet app, with everything from updates of your favorite app to the latest news stories. Channels push alerts to your phone immediately, so you're the first to know whatever you're subscribed to. We have created a Powered by Redstone channel for Pusbullet, so every post we make will be sent directly to your phone or desktop with the Pushbullet app.

Here's how to set it up:

  • Get the Pushbullet app for Android, iOS, or your web browser here.

  • Open the app, and set it up by logging into your Google account.

  • Click here and click subscribe.

Now you will get notifications for our articles as soon as it's uploaded! Let us know if you've set it up in the comments below.

  2. Does this app cost in any way?

  3. I would use this, but as every other good app, it is only supported on iPhone. No iPad. Apparently they have time to support Android tablets but not iPads. :/
