  3. Id say if you're using an x86 Chromebook, and know a little more abou Linux, reformatting the partitions and installing a compatible Linux would be better than crouton. Simply because you don't run both os's as the same time.

  4. Essentially, your not running two OS's at the same time because chrome OS is based on a version of Linux and you are just running a different environment of the OS at the same time. Plus I have done this both ways on my old Acer Chromebook and there was little to no performance loss. And if you don't want them both running you should just install Linux as a Partition with Chrubuntu and chose which one to boot into went you start it up, I did this with my friend's Acer C720 Chromebook.

  5. I did it both ways on my Dell Chromebook 11 at one point. Normal Ubuntu linux had a lot of issues because it was missing drivers for my touchpad and hibernation/sleep. Crouton, especially when using the XFCE desktop environment, is very lightweight.

  7. Well, i am probably going to get a chromebook for myself...but if you could do this topic on how to get it on Schools chromebook cause that is what i am using (with developer mode blocked) please and thanks!

  9. I'm using a Chromebook to type this, and I find the downside of them is their inability to run Java & Flash Player. I don't want to bust it, but I might for this....

    oh ok i get it so many people are mad because they cant have minecraft on there chromebooks and mojang released a guide wow thats awesome but chrome did remove shell command from following devices 720 p exynos 5250*and also maybe java script* i could list the other devices but im to lazy so if you try to get into the shell before going into developer mode it woont work but most chrome books got shell removed so you must go into deeveloper mode to access the chrome shell and get into the HTML
