Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.11.0 released, many users are reporting bugs

As I'm sure many of you have seen by now, Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.11.0 is live for iOS and Android. It is not yet showing up on the Windows Store or Amazon Marketplace, but it should very soon. The update includes a host of new features, including skins, better multiplayer support, new options, revamped boats, new mobs, and much more.

However, the release seems to be bug-ridden - at least for iOS users. Mojang developers reported that 0.11.0 did not have functioning in-app purchase support, so 0.11.1 was quickly submitted and approved. 0.11.2 is on the way to fix infinite worlds crashing. The bug does not appear to be present on Android (or at least not for me).

We will go over the new skins feature in another article, but for now enjoy the update!

  1. It's kind of ridiculous how they never did fix the bobber texture bug, considering it had been in the beta builds since build 5 or 6

  2. I'm one who had some crashing. I couldn't load any of my worlds, all of which were infinite... until I made a new world, then others would load. It's still a bit odd in that I get a black screen with the interface for 2-3 seconds before the world starts to appear.

Maybe they should do some more testing and delay things for a short while instead of getting them out asap. :)
