Minecraft 1.10 snapshots could begin tomorrow

It took one year, five months, and 27 days for Minecraft 1.9 to come out after the release of Minecraft 1.8 - making it the longest gap between releases in Minecraft's history. Now that snapshots are due to begin for Minecraft 1.10 starting tomorrow, it's looking like 1.10 might not take quite that long.

Searge, one of Minecraft's many developers at Mojang, announced on Twitter that snapshots (aka test builds) for 1.10 are scheduled to start tomorrow, May 18th. Planned additions include an auto-jump feature (very similar to how jumping works in Minecraft: Pocket Edition), at least one new block in the Nether, and at least two new mobs.

We will have to see what features make it into the first snapshot. Stay tuned for more info as it comes.
