What happens when Mojang finally releases a long-awaited Minecraft update? People start asking for the next version, of course!
It usually takes a month or two for details about the next version of Minecraft to start appearing after a major release, and this time the wait will be a little longer. Jens Bergensten, Minecraft PC's lead developer, replied to a fan on his Twitter account:
@matthiass399 We plan to do snapshots with improvements and bug fixes, of which some can be new features— Jens Bergensten (@jeb_) June 28, 2016
It's likely one of the big events at Minecon 2016 will be the first details about Minecraft 1.11. So if you're on the edge of your seat for PC news, don't expect much until September.
