Once upon a time CaptainSparklez showed us a concept, that using villagers, pressure plates, doors, and some redstone, would create a machine that would export a output signal if it was night. Well now villagers have one less use, because Jeb from Mojang has created the Daylight Detector. This machine is rather simple - if it's day, it will output redstone signals. As with any Redstone machine you could use an inverter to make it output a signal at night, replacing the old villager method. This is one of my favorite recent additions, is it one of yours?

hang on... Daylight DECTORS? Apart from that, nice.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say villagers become "useless" - you can still trade with them!
ReplyDeleteAnd you can still beat them with sticks!
ReplyDeleteAll the villagers I have have crappy trades. Thirty pieces of paper for a porkchop?
ReplyDeleteThanks for catching that :D
ReplyDeleteTime for night time detectors!
ReplyDeleteYou could use a simple redstone inverter to turn the daylight detector into a night time detector, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3aUgx2pMqY
ReplyDeleteNo Problem :p
ReplyDeleteAnd have iron golemns attack you...i learned that the hard way...
