Minecraft Pocket Edition has been getting faster and faster updates since Jeb and Tommaso have joined the team, and recently several large improvements are in development for 0.7.3/0.8.0 (it is unknown exactly what the new update will be numbered). The past few days have shown the PE community that Mojang is working hard on the next PE update, but what's new?Firstly, the screenshot above was tweeted a few days ago from Tommaso (the newest Mojang developer, working on Minecraft PE right now). The screenshot shows off glowing spider eyes, the moon, and stars. All of these are new features. Additionally double chests, sunrise/sunset, possible new inventory management, and other minor features like changed settings.
Also, Tom re-addressed the issue of Redstone in Minecraft Pocket Edition. Replying to a Twitter question about when Redstone would be added, he stated "Redstone is very complicated and will probably need an update or two so that we can be sure it behaves like PC." So there you have it, it's not coming in 0.7.3, 0.8.0, or probably 0.9.0.
