CaptainSparklez, one of the most popular channels for Minecraft Let's Plays as well as Minecraft-themed music videos, had one music video taken down a few months ago. The video in question was named 'Minecraft Style' and was a parody of the internet sensation 'Gangnam Style'. The music video was taken down from YouTube by it's copyright holders, due to similarities in the instrumentals with the original music video. Jordan Maron (CaptainSparklez's real name) has tried numerous times to unblock the video, but has ultimately failed. This is due to the copyright holders continuing to reinstate the claim, and due to a bug in YouTube that disallows him from continuing any further.
The video remains on YouTube, but in the form of hundreds of reuploads by fans. However, Jordan is currently working to remaster the audio track to be less like Gangnam Style to keep the video on YouTube. He says that even though Minecraft Style (and the original video it is based off) may have been forgotten, "for me it's a matter of personal principal, it's not something I want to just disappear."
