Tommaso Checchi joins Mojang to work on Minecraft Pocket Edition, already being asked when Realms will be live

Minecraft Pocket Edition has a rather slow development schedule compared to the PC and Xbox 360 equivalents, but today things might speed up a little. Tommaso Checchi, an Italian developer, is currently in the process of moving to Sweeden to work with Mojang. Johan, one of the first developers for Minecraft: Pocket Edition, tweeted today "Awesome news, [Tommaso Checchi] started working on Pocket Edition today!"

Tom has already been asked thousands of questions about MCPE over Twitter today, most of which have to do with when Realms will be live (ugh). When asked what was coming for MCPE 0.7.3, he responded, "I've just barely compiled the code, so I don't know." He also responded to a follower, "it's my first time, still working on small tasks... I don't use to tweet a lot, I mostly reply and lurk but who knows!" So who knows, you might be able to get a response from Tom if you can't get one from us or Johan.

As a reminder, there are no confirmed features for MCPE 0.7.3 other than bug fixes. See the source link for Tom's Twitter.
