Creepers are probably the most iconic mob in Minecraft. Other games have pigs, sheep, skeletons, and even tall black creatures looking at you. But I can't think of a single game that has a four legged green that walks up behind players and blows them up (other than Minecraft). In the next Minecraft Pocket Edition update, there might just be a little surprise in store for creepers.
Tom, the newest Minecraft PE developer, said on Twitter "A feature might have slip in 0.7.4 after all, and flint and steel might be a weapon against creepers now." He continued, "Well, it might save your hide as flint & steel now ignites creepers and forces them to explode, poor guys. Also no, it's not in [Minecraft PC Edition]!"
So in the next Pocket Edition update, you can set creepers on fire and cause them to explode. I'm not sure exactly how useful this is, because if you are close enough to light them up then you are close enough to die. But it's still kinda fun :P
