While no news about Minecraft for the Xbox One or the PlayStation was announced at Minecon 2013, a few interesting Pocket Edition news items did come out of the event. Unfortunately for us, the Minecraft Pocket Edition panel was not live-streamed, so we don't have all of the information at our fingertips (although Mojang has said a video of the panel is coming soon). The first major addition to Pocket Edition announced at Minecon was breeding. Similar to breeding on the PC edition, this feature allows you to...well..breed two animals by using wheat. This will allow for new mobs to be created fairly quickly, as opposed to waiting for more mobs to spawn. The feature was confirmed by developer Tom on Reddit today, and is planned for PE 0.8.0.
