Powered by Redstone's 3rd Birthday: new theme, new apps, and much more!

Hello everyone!

It seemed like yesterday when I made this site for giggles on Blogger. Then it blew up to be incredibly popular, and we got our own domain and was determined to become the number one Minecraft news site on the internet. And we are still working towards that goal.

But today is a very special day for this site. Today is Powered by Redstone's third birthday! To kick it off we are announcing a load of amazing projects we are working on, and we will share even more about them in the near future. You already know that our Project X is a theme park (that we wanted to open today, but time got away from me) that will be opening soon, but here are some more:

  • Mine (Project Y): Mine is a fictional novel set in the world of Minecraft, from a first-person perspective. The book follows Steve in his adventures in the Minecraft world, from spawning in to surviving the first night. When we get closer to finishing the story, we will post a chapter every Saturday here on Powered by Redstone. When we have posted the entire book, we will make it available to download through Google Play Books store for the very low price of free.

  • New theme (Project Z): You've probably noticed by now, but we are rocking an amazing new theme based on Teal. We are still working on the theme, and the site's appearance is not set in stone. If you have any criticism or ideas for the theme, share them in the comments below!

  • Firefox App: We are happy to announce that we have developed a Powered by Redstone app for Firefox, Firefox for Android, and Firefox OS that is now being reviewed by Mozilla to appear in the Firefox Marketplace. We will make a post when the app is available to download.

That's all we have been working on recently. Like I said, we hope to have more information about everything listed above and Redstone Kingdom (aka Project X) soon. We wanted to open Redstone Kingdom today, but time has slipped away from me and my Minecraft install has been corrupted. Let us know what you are looking forward to from us in the comments, and we are excited to begin our third year bringing you everything Minecraft!
