Very rarely do the developers for Minecraft: Pocket Edition show in-development screenshots, but today we got a sneak peek at 0.9.0. Today Tom from Mojang tweeted the above screenshot with the caption, "Wow, I noticed now that my followers are over 60.000, that's a lot! Here, have diamonds." He confirmed in another tweet that the above screenshot is a naturally-spawned cave.
Possibly more interesting than the cave is the words 'v0.9.0 alpha build 1' above the hotbar. In the old MCPE 0.8.0 betas, the same words were in place but with 'v0.8.0 beta build xyz' instead. This could mean that the Android public betas might begin soon, and when they do you can bet we will review them (and make videos!).
