Last week Johan from Mojang confirmed to us that they did not develop the Minecraft for the Amazon Fire TV, saying "actually Amazon did everything themselves and if anything helped us with future pad support." That means that Amazon was the third company to see Minecraft's source code, next to Mojang and 4J Studios. But who exactly was responsible for the Amazon Fire TV port? A few developers' LinkedIn profiles reveal who developed Minecraft PE for the Fire TV:

Kenley Capps

Kenley is a professional and hobyist software developer, specializing in Android development. He has been working for Amazon since October 2012, but has worked for companies like TXU Energy and LevelTen Design in the past. His only project for Amazon recorded on his LinkedIn profile is the Minecraft PE for Fire TV, but since he has been working with Amazon for some time, it's likely he has done other smaller projects at the company. You can check out his LinkedIn profile here.

Eric Gober

Eric is a software engineer specializing in Java and Android development. He was hired by Amazon in January, and his only public project with the company is Minecraft PE for the Fire TV. Interestingly, he has had previous work with well-known game companies. He worked as a Platform Software Engineer for BioWare, and was involved in the development of the popular Star Wars: The Old Republic MMORPG game. He was responsible, "for the design, creation and maintenance of various Customer Service Related tools in support of Star Wars: The Old Republic." He also worked as a Software Engineer at IBM for three years. You can check out his LinkedIn profile here.

Drew Tennenbaum

Drew is a Software Development Manager at Amazon, working there since January 2013. He also worked at BioWare, as a Technical Director for Star Wars: The Old Republic. He also worked as a Technical Director for Rift and End of Nations by Trion Worlds, Inc. You can check out his LinkedIn profile here.

So there you have it, that is the team that developed Minecraft PE 0.8.2 for the Amazon Fire TV. Also of interest is that their LinkedIn profiles reveal that the project only lasted from February to March of this year, meaning that the port only took about a month to develop.
