4J Studios compares new Minecraft ports to Xbox 360 & PS3

We wrote an editorial yesterday about the challenges 4J Studios are facing while porting Minecraft to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. They have released screenshots of the game not only on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but comparing them to the Xbox One and PS4. Let's take a look at both the Xbox ports:

There are a few visible differences between Minecraft on the Xbox 360 (top) and Xbox One (bottom). There appears to be improved shading on the One, as well as a higher view distance. Now let's look at the PlayStation:

The improvements is similar tot he Xbox One version, with an improved rendering distance and higher-quality shading. Of course graphics don't mean much when we are talking about a game of blocks, but it's nice to see the next-gen ports are coming together.

There is still no date for Minecraft on the Xbox One, PS4, or PS Vita. See the source link for the original pictures.
