On Android, applications (and games) are developed to function on hundreds of different sized screens. But that's not the case on iOS, where any change in screen resolution has to be manually implemented by developers. Apple's latest flagship phones, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, both include new screen sizes that developers have to make compatible with their apps.
Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.9.0 does not support either screen size, leaving either black bars on the sides or fuzzy graphics. Fortunately for owners of shiny new iPhones, Mojang will be adding support for those devices in the upcoming 0.10.0 update. Tommaso said on Twitter:
The update still doesn't have a release date, Mojang said it would be released in "maybe two weeks"...two weeks ago. Check the source link for the original tweet.

"So to support the iPhone6/+ res you need to add a new loading screen… seems legit Apple. On the plus (ehehe) side, the next update will not be horribly smushed up to full HD on the new iphones."
