With the advent of item frames in Minecraft, it's been possible to craft a clock and place it on any wall. But what if you're in the mood for a more realistic analog clock? Luckily samasaurus6 on YouTube has made a video explaining how he was able to make an analog clock in Minecraft.

It's much more difficult than simply placing the clock item in an item frame, but still very interesting. It's fully functional, but relies on a rather large number of command blocks and redstone switches to get the job done.
It's not really practical, but still something very interesting. That sums up most of Minecraft, doesn't it? :P
