Minecraft is probably the most family-friendly popular video game, with all things considered. There's no blood (unless you count large red pixels on some mobs), no cussing (on single player, at least), and no content that parents should be worried about their children seeing. But that's not how The Republic of Turkey sees the game.
Turkey's Ministry of Family and Social Policies, named Aile ve Sosyal Politikalar Bakanlığı in Turkish, is a ministry of the Turkish government responsible for famiy affairs and social services. Since it was founded in 2011, one of it's primary goals is preventing domestic violence against women - and apparently Minecraft of all things is advocating it.
The Ministry has reportedly started investigation of Minecraft, on the grounds is encourages violence - especially against women. Anyone who has played Minecraft knows the main character doesn't have a defined gender, and with no other human characters in single-player the only way to kill female players is in multi-player mode.
It's unclear if Minecraft will actually be banned or not, as far as I could tell there hasn't been any video games banned in Turkey in the past. Turkey is notable for blocking content the government doesn't agree with, with everything from social networks to media being blocked to some extent in the country. See the source for more info.
