In case you had forgotten about it, Minecraft: Story Mode is a new game being developed by Telltale Games (and published by Mojang). The game, like all their other titles, will be an interactive story. The first 'episode' of Minecraft: Story Mode will be released sometime this year.
There have been little to no details about the game being released, besides the fact that it exists. We already know it will not feature the main 'Steve' character from Minecraft, and will not be cannon Minecraft, meaning whatever happens in that game will have no effect on what little story Minecraft already has.
South by Southwest is an annual set of conferences that take place in Austin, Texas around this time of year, focusing on music, film, and interactive media. One of the companies that will attend the conference this year is Telltale Games. Their event page (scheduled for tomorrow), has the following description:

Is there any more news on mcpe updates? Like newer news? Release dates maybe...? Mojang....er.....Microsoft...? Whatever... Minecraft updates usually dont come out when they say they will sooooo......

ReplyDeleteThe developers have said that it will most likely come in Q1, but it is looking like it will be an early Q2. It will include boats, skins, fishing, gamemode switching, and other nice features. Check out their Twitter accounts for more information.
