- Jens Bergensten (AKA Jeb_) implemented a suggestion by /u/LupusX, which appears to be a way to make grass paths, possibly using a shovel. This was on January 20, 2015.
- In reference to a Reddit post, Jeb mentioned how excited he was for an upcoming block type.
- On March 9, 2015, Dinnerbone said they were implementing a caption system for people who have impaired hearing.
- On May 12, 2015, Jeb told twitter that he was working on a new type of "dungeon" that features its own unique mobs and blocks.
- On May 25, 2015, Dinnerbone mentioned working on making a proper Lefty mode, having the "main arm" be on the left and also having this feature visible to other players.
- On May 28, 2015, Dinnerbone told twitter about a new feature, the "off-hand slot" which allows players to duel wield items. He also mentioned that they will remove sword blocking and replace "hit blocking" with a similar but less-buggy system which requires the user to use a shield.. You will also be able to use some of the items in your "off-hand" slot with the secondary button of your mouse, but only if the item you're holding doesn't have a right-click option. (ex. Pickaxe in main arm, torches in secondary arm, place torches on the wall by right-clicking and mine blocks with the pickaxe by left-clicking.) You will also be able to bind a key to put something in your off-hand slot, defaulted as "f".
- In January 2015, Dinnerbone mentioned he was re-doing the Ender Dragon boss fight, saying that he was considering making it more like Console Edition's, but with more features. The Ender Dragon will respawn regularly according to Dinnerbone, but the details of how and when have not yet been disclosed.
- Dinnerbone hinted at least 4 new arrow types, along with a quiver to hold them.
- Command blocks will get a UI overhaul, possibly containing "Tab to complete" in the future.
