Minecraft made $63 million for Microsoft last quarter, according to fiscal reports

While the long-term goals of Mojang as a Microsoft company may be unknown, it's bottom line sure isn't. Yesterday, companies around the globe reported their earnings for the second quarter of 2015, and Microsoft was no exception.

In addition to the normal income generated from their physical consoles, the Xbox One and Xbox 360, they also reported how much money Minecraft has made for the company. Gamespresso reported that Minecraft earned a whopping $63 million, which was over 62% more than what their games division made last year.

It's important to note that this includes revenue from all editions of Minecraft. We will have to see how Minecraft continues to perform over time.
