The first episode of Minecraft: Story Mode, "The Order of The Stone", coming Oct. 13th

Are you excited for Minecraft: Story Mode? The game was a suprise announcement from Mojang near the end of last year, and since then we've progressively got more sneak peaks at the upcoming title. Today Mojang announced the release date for Story Mode: October 13th.

Every game by Telltale is organized into 'episodes', induvidual interactive stories. The first episode (with certainly more to come in the future) will be titled "The Order of The Stone" with not many details announced. We do know that the beginning of The Order of The Stone was released to reviewers at PAX and other gaming conferences over the last few months to mostly positive reviews.

Mojang also announced that the Wii U and Playstation Vita ports of Minecraft: Story Mode will not be available on release, but will be available "a bit later on." See the source link for all the information.

I am excited for this title. I didn't expect it, I have to admit, but I hope it meets the fan bases' and my expectations.

This looks kinda weird, but I have played telltale games before so it should be good.

What will the age rating be? E, E +10, M, from my point of view I don't think telltale has the best record of making games child friendly.

Love how they reused the original name!

Quote from MC Wiki:

When he first started working on Minecraft, Notch had planned for it to just be a small project. For instance, when Notch uploaded the first YouTube video of Minecraft on May 13, 2009, he had not yet decided on a name, and simply referred to it as a "cave game". The name "Minecraft: Order of the Stone" (a reference to Order of the Stick, a web comic and "one of the best things on the internet") was announced the next day (from a suggestion a TIGSource forums user gave in an IRC chat), and then shortly after, it was shortened to "Minecraft" as it was much simpler and to prevent people from confusing it with Order of the Stick. The game was finally released for an "early private singleplayer alpha" on May 16, 2009.

The name "Order of the Stone" looks like a mash of the two Harry Potter title "Order of the Phoenix" and the "Sorcerer's Stone"
Is that just my mind being weird? xD
