In an announcement that comes as a surprise to some (and not such a big surprise to many), Play Mindcrack will be closing. In a blog post released yesterday, Olmok, General Manager of Playmindcrack, stated that their provider was restructuring, and any option they had to get past this issue was too expensive.
In this blogpost, he also goes on to explain that the server wasn't making any money, and that Guude has been paying for the server with money from his own pocket.
For those unaware, Play Mindcrack is a minigames server hosted by Mindcrack, which is a group of very talented Minecraft streamers started by Guude. It featured several minigames, like Regicide, Blackbeard, Missile Wars, UHC, and Mindcrack Survival Games.
According to Olmok, they do not know when the server will go offline, but they expect it to go offline very soon.
